Time
Dear Cougar Family,
Before Christmas Break, a very wise man stopped Mrs. Mishler and me to tell us about a Ted Talk he listened to that morning that made him think of us. The topic: time management. I looked up the video on my phone that day, but I didn't actually watch it until the end of the break.
I struggle with feeling either "mom guilt" or "work guilt," depending on how my time is allotted on a certain day. By the end of the first semester, I was tired and ready to spend the holidays with my family. During the two weeks hiatus, I thought a lot about what I want to accomplish personally and professionally, and while I do not have a list of "resolutions," I emerged from the break with a feeling regarding how I wanted to grow and be better in 2017.
Then, I watched the Ted Talk.
And, it was like this lady was speaking to my soul. I took a full page of notes while I listened to her. Her message is both inspiring and convicting. Please take a moment this week to watch and listen to her message, "How to Gain Control of Your Time."
As we begin this semester, I believe her message will resonate with many of you. Essentially, we make time for what is important to us. There will be things that are URGENT that come up this year, but let us not let them overshadow that which is IMPORTANT.
I am looking forward to what 2017 will bring to the Cougar Nation! Have a fabulous week!
As always, COUGAR PRIDE!
