A Message from the Principal
It is hard to believe that our summer vacation is beginning to wind down! I am thrilled to welcome you and your child to Jenkins Elementary for the 2021-2022 school year.
You may have some questions regarding the start of the school year. To ensure that we keep an open line of communication, I wanted to share some information with you regarding the upcoming start to our school year, which you will find in this newsletter.
As a reminder, the first day of school for students is on Monday, August 23rd. The instructional day is from 9:15 am to 3:55 pm.

For students who are participating virtually, we will distribute school supplies and devices during our "Meet the Teacher" Open House, which is currently scheduled for Friday, August 20th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Breakfast and Lunch is Free for All Students!

"Meet the Teacher" Open House Tentative Plan and Date
The schedule of our in-person "Meet the Teacher" Open House on Friday, August 20th is:
- Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and Second Grade - 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade - 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The purpose of our "Meet the Teacher" Open House is for you and your child to be able to meet your child's teacher. Please wear face masks when visiting Jenkins. Also, parking is limited, so please be sure to stick to the schedule above to ensure a smooth process.
If your child will be a car rider, please stop by the front office to complete a car rider registration form to receive your car rider number. Please stop by our PTO table and consider partnering with us this school year by joining.
For families who are unable to attend in person, our Virtual "Meet the Teacher" Open House is on Friday, August 20th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
If any information changes, we will let you know as soon as possible.
