Leonardo da Vinci was the perfect model of what you would describe as a Renaissance man. He excelled at all the available occupations which includes being a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. He was also a very talented and respected painter who was credited with some of the worlds greatest paintings.

- Cause- Leonardo lived and thrived in the Italian Renaissance time. He excelled at many things and was considered a Renaissance Man which meant someone who is good at everything. He was famous during his time mainly for his paintings like The Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, but had very diverse ideas for inventions we use everyday.
- Interesting Facts- Leonardo studied in anatomy of humans and animals like horses, cows, frogs, monkeys, and many other animals. He only has about 15 paintings still around today.
- Significance-Leonardo da Vinci was very important to his day and our modern time. He was one of the first people who gave us valuable information about the human anatomy. Also many of his inventions impact our daily lives , such as airplanes and ball bearings. Without these ideas we wouldn't have our advanced lifestyle we find so comfortable.
