Good Morning School District of Beloit Families,


At last night’s meeting, The Board of Education unanimously voted to remain in Distance Learning through Term 3, which ends on March 26. The Board of Education has asked my leadership team and me to provide a comprehensive plan for the start of Term 4, which begins on April 6.

NO Classes Monday - January 18th and Friday - January 22nd

As a reminder, Todd Families, students will not have classes on Monday, January 18th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Additionally, students will not have classes on Friday, January 22nd in order for teachers to receive professional development and work on report cards, as the term ends next week! Please encourage your child to work on any and all missing work to turn in by Thursday! Thanks!

APTT Meetings

Please mark your calendars. Our first APTT team meeting will be on January 19th for 4K and First Grade - 6:00 - 7:30 and on January 21st for Kindergarten, Second, and Third Grade 6:00 - 7:30. All meetings will be virtual for our first team meeting. Watch for upcoming invites. You will see your child's progress for the school year, set academic goals for your child, and learn academic activities to engage in with your child. All supplies were sent home in your December supply bags. Please remember Todd is an APTT school and the team meetings are in place of traditional Parent Teacher conferences.

Grab and Go Lunches-Week of January 18th

On Tuesday, January 19th, we will be providing breakfast and lunch meals for Tuesday, and Wednesday and on Thursday, January 21st, we will be providing breakfast and lunch meals for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.


These meals are for families and children in our community under the age of 18. If you are unable to pick up food please call 361-3136 to arrange for delivery. Pick -ups are under the awning next to Door 8.

Just Say No Club

The Beloit Breakfast Optimist Club is again sponsoring Just Say No Clubs in Beloit. Mrs. Bolar is the advisor for this club at Todd. If you are in third grade this is a great opportunity to get involved. Please contact Mrs. Bolar for information. nbolar@sdb.k12.wi.us

Winter Gear

If you need a winter coat, mittens, hat or scarf for your student, please contact Ava Dorst the Todd School Counselor at 608-361-4278 or adorst@sdb.k12.wi.us. We have had many generous donations of winter gear!

Materials Pick up

We will be having our next materials pick up on Friday 1/29/21 from 8:30 to 10:30 am and 2pm to 4pm and Monday 2/1/21 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and 4pm to 6pm. One change is that we will be using door 11 for pick up this time. Please be sure to come and get the supplies (Books, Workbook pages, Art supplies, Science supplies and much more) that your student will need for the first part of Quarter 3.

Got Chas

Students at Todd Elementary receive Got Cha prizes for completing tasks and exhibiting the monthly character trait. For the month of January students received Got Chas for showing trustworthiness. Teacher of the Week - Mandy Kindschi

Mrs. Kindschi is an Art teacher at Todd. She previously taught First Grade at Todd Elementary School. Mrs. Kindschi has worked hard this year to teach Art distantly and she is always willing to assist with technology needs. Mrs. Kindschi works hard to spruce up our bulletin boards and common areas. She takes on leadership roles in her Specialist planning tams. Mrs. Kindschi always has a smile in her face. She is a great team player at Todd School.

Staff of the Week - Johana Barajas

Mrs. Barajas is the Health Room Assistant at Todd. This is her second year working at Todd. When students are in person she attends to bumps, bruises, and scrapes. She can fix any problem with a band-aid. Mrs. Barajas helps to communicate and build relationships with many of our Hispanic families. Mrs. Barajas is always willing to take on any extra projects as needed. We are lucky to have her as a staff member at Todd.
