Folding Cabinet Bed
The bed that changed lives
Sarah Goode in 1885 invented the cabinet that folded into a bed. Sarah built this invention because she had too many complaints that said they didn't have enough room for furniture and a bed. Sarah had an idea that you could have a cabinet that folded into a bed. This invention had spaces for storage and a place to work. The bed was attached by hinges and could be raised and lowered as needed. This invention evolved into the beds into the wall and beds that could come the the couch.
