Week in review
I'm sorry for not sending a news letter last week, we got very busy and I totally forgot!
Last week we talked about the life cycle of a pumpkin. This week we learned about the parts of a pumpkin and made a Jack-o-"lantern." This craft took a lot of skills and I was so proud of the boys for listening and following directions. I can't wait for you to get them at conferences next week!
Caden was the star of the week in his classroom. He did an awesome job explaining each picture and singing his favorite class to Mrs. Hall's class. :)
We helped PTA out this week by stuffing magnets into envelopes, labeling the envelopes, sorting by grade and class, sealing, and delivering to each classroom. It was a very tedious task but the boys had a great time doing it! In fact when we were all done the asked to do it again the next day. I have now been named "Queen Bee" by the boys and they are my "worker bees."
Next week we have a very short and wacky week! We will wrap up anything that we didn't get to finish during our shapes and pumpkin lessons. I'm hoping to bring a pumpkin in so that we can carve it as a class. BUT, the most exciting thing that is happening, is that we are getting a new student! His name is Aden and he is in the first grade. Some of the boys have already met him and I know he will fit right in with our gang!
