It was nice to see so many families at Information Day! If you were unable to attend Information Day, you can come to Meet the Teacher on August 24th from 2:30-3:30 to find out classroom teachers and bus information (if needed) or call the office 630-529-2223. Important Dates to Start the School Year
August 24th - 2:30-3:30: MEET THE TEACHER/SCHOOL SUPPLY DROP OFF (ALL GRADES: Preschool-5th Grade). Bring your school supplies to drop off and meet your new teacher! Students must be accompanied by an adult.
August 25th: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL -1st-5th Grade (8:40-3:30)August 25-26: Kindergarten Assessment - Kindergarten Families should call the office 630-529-2223 to schedule a time for Aug. 25-26.August 26: Popsicles in the Park 5:30-7:00pm (PTO event)August 29th: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - Preschool (AM-8:50-11:20 or PM-12:50-3:20) & Kindergarten (AM-8:40-11:30) or (PM-12:40-3:30) MEET THE TEACHER: Wednesday, August 24
Erickson Elementary School will be hosting a Meet the Teacher/Supply Drop-Off event from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm for Preschool - 5th grade students on Wednesday, August 24. This is an opportunity for you and your child to come to Erickson before school begins to 1) meet your teacher and 2) drop-off your child’s classroom supplies. This will hopefully provide an easier transition for the first day of school. One adult may attend per child.
First Day of School
The first full day of school is Thursday August 25th, for students in first - fifth grade. Kindergarten & Preschool students start school on Monday, August 29th. Students may arrive between 8:25-8:40. Classes begin at 8:40.

Grades 1st-5th: 8:40-3:30
Kindergarten AM: 8:40-11:30
Kindergarten PM: 12:40-3:30
Preschool AM: 8:50-11:20
Preschool PM: 12:50-3:20
Lunch Times
1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade Lunch: 12:00-12:25
4th-5th Grade Lunch: 12:25-12:50
Dropping off lunches from restaurants (ie- McDonald's, Wendy's, Panera, etc.) as well as using food delivery services to drop off food (ie -GrubHub, Door Dash) is not allowed. Students should bring their lunch in the morning to school each day. Safety is our number one priority and we would like to limit visitors.
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures: Click here to learn about arrival and dismissal procedures for the 2022-2023 school year. Families should utilize the side parking lot for pick-up and drop-off.
The front parking lot is designated for buses only. Morning arrival is between 8:25am-8:40am. Staff begin to supervise students at 8:25 am. Grades K and 4-5 will enter through the front doors. Grades 1-3 will enter through the side of the building. Students will begin to enter the school at 8:35 and go directly to their classrooms. School beings at 8:40.

Staff Update for the 2022-203 School Year
Ms. Taylor: will be the Resource Teacher (while Mrs. Gnatyuk is on maternity leave)
Mr. Calix: will be the 3rd grade teacher (while Mrs. Silwa is on maternity leave)
Miss Ott: Moved from 1st grade to 2nd grade (replacing Mrs. Atchison due to retirement).
Mrs. Ikens and Mrs. Holm (Current 3rd Grade Teachers)...will be job sharing a 3rd grade classroom. Two amazing teachers...one classroom.
New Teacher, Mrs. Raimondi will be a 1st Grade Teacher.
New Teacher, Mrs. Weber will be a 3rd Grade Teacher.
New Teacher, Mr. Litavecz will be the Gym Teacher.
New Teacher, Mr. Welch will be the Music Teacher.
