QuadSquad
For many years, several companies have been competing to come up with technology to help the disabled speak. A team of Ukraine students called QuadSquad came in first place for their design. With the use of a smartphone, they figured out how to translate sign language symbols into audio. By winning the Software Design Competition of the 2012 Microsoft Imagine Cup, they were rewarded $25,000.
