SPECIAL GLOVES FOR SIGNS INTO AUDIO
BY: SYDNEY KILEY
For many years, several companies have been competing to come up with technology to help the disabled speak. A team of Ukraine students called QuadSquad came in first place for their design. With the use of a smartphone, they figured out how to translate sign language symbols into audio. By winning the Software Design Competition of the 2012 Microsoft Imagine Cup, they were rewarded $25,000.
A new website called EnableTalk has been released by Ukraines to give all the information about the upcoming market. It shows the design, vision, ideas, and business plans that have to do with the company. If this goes through, then it can help 70 million people with disabilities.
