Eagleridge Enrichment Program ~ August 2022
Principal's Message
Since we have several new families joining us, I'd like to take a moment to share a bit about myself. This will be my 4th year as principal of Eagleridge, and my 18th year in education. I live in Mesa with my husband and two sons (ages 14 and 16). We are all Arizona natives! When I'm not having fun at Eagleridge I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with family & friends.
As we kick off this new year together, it is our goal to provide you and your children with a safe, fun and collaborative experience at Eagleridge! If you ever have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Our staff is very devoted to our Eagleridge community, and it is our mission to engage, enrich and empower our students to have the best experience while they're here with us.
You can expect to receive a newsletter from me at the beginning of each month. Our website also contains lots of information for you. Please follow us on social media! It's a great avenue to get reminders on school events and see photos of students in their classes! I look forward to working with you this year!

Lunch Info
Primary (K-3) students who are eating a school lunch will need to tell the cashier their first and last name and teacher's name in a loud voice. Please practice this!
Intermediate students will key their ID number into a keypad. This number can be found on their schedule. Please have them work on memorizing this number.
All students have 20 minutes to eat and a 15 minute lunch recess. We want our students to get accustomed to eating their lunch within the allotted timeframe. If a student needs a bit of extra time, we will provide that! Please encourage your child to tell a cafeteria monitor if they need more time.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Video explanation of dismissal: Eagleridge Dismissal Procedures.
In the mornings, the gates open at 8:15. Parents are welcome to walk their students on campus. School begins at 8:25. When the bell rings, our primary students will line up and be greeted on the playground by their teacher. Intermediate students will head straight to their first class of the day. Parents should say goodbye to their child on the playground and will need to exit the campus at 8:25.
During dismissal, students remain in their classroom with their teacher. We enter the information from your GREEN pick-up sign into a spreadsheet that the teachers and students in the classrooms are monitoring. Once the student has been alerted to your arrival, they will head to the proper pick-up zone. We will have staff members help our younger students get to the right spot to ensure their safety.
The 22/23 pick-up signs are on green paper. At the end of the day, students will only be released if you show your sign to an employee. If you forget your sign, be prepared to show your ID in the office and obtain a temporary sign to use for the day. Additional copies of your regular pick-up signs can be requested in the office.
We have several new staff members and lots of new students and parents. It does take time for everyone to get the hang of our drop-off and pick-up procedures, so please be patient with one another during these moments when it is hot and can sometimes feel frenzied. The safety of our students is our absolute top priority and we will always err on the side of safety when enforcing the use of pick-up signs. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
