Fun Week!
We started on Monday with a visit from the Fort Worth Science and History Museum. We had a wonderful presentation on Cattle Drives. David Bedford, from the Cattle Raisers Museum Exhibit, taught us about cowboys, cattle drives, brands and so much more. He even dressed up our very own cowboy!
Thursday was the day!! Science Fair was a rockin' success! What a great job your children did on their projects. Thank you so much for supporting this learning activity! We spent time today looking at the projects in class. I took pictures of each project so we had a narrated slide show! I love Science Fair because I learn about new things... like the best popcorn to buy or how to remove stains... and what snacks to avoid!
Congrats to:
1st- Olivia Krebbs & Abby Stone
3rd- Aiden Turney & Luke Gjone
1st- Maddix Owens-Landers
2nd- Jacob Holbert
In math, we continued working on division. We are also honing our problem solving skills by working multi-step problems. Many students are still struggling with multiplication facts. To encourage them to work on these at home, I will start giving a weekly test each Friday. These test grades will go in the gradebook. Please make sure your child is doing multiplication facts each night.
Remember that there is no school on Monday.
Also - no homework next week due to the short week and two major tests.
Have a great weekend.
A true cowboy!
