SHOUT OUTS!
Sheila Phillips for letting me borrow your balance scale for a writing lesson :)
Melissa McLaughlin, Julia Karen, Sheila Phillips, and Greg Orr for letting me borrow fairy tales for comparing and contrasting in second grade :)
I just want to give a shout out to Stacie Hodges. She has gone above and beyond for one of Midways cutest kiddos (in my opinion at least). She made his last day before a big surgery one that he won’t ever forget and I’m sure it helped take his mind off of it, at least for a little while. She serves him so well (as well as all of the other kids she comes in contact with each day). It is evident how much she cares in so many ways, especially in that she checks on him even when he isn’t at school. Midway, and especially CB, are so lucky to have her.
Thanks to the 5th Grade Team for meeting with Eric Lauterbach to explore more about Social Studies instruction!
Thank you to everyone for a fantastic severe weather drill!

~ UNITED WAY
We’ve set our goal for 100% participation. We can do this!! Our students directly benefit from United Way programs.
I invite you to join me in making Forsyth County a more united community for us all to live and work in by supporting this year’s United Way Campaign through payroll deduction or a one-time donation. Remember any amount helps.
Please go online to www.unitedwayforsyth.com/ForsythCountySchools to complete the online pledge form. Please see attached instructions….it is very simple and quick. If you need a paper form, please let me know and I will be sure to get you a copy. We would like to have all online pledging completed by November 30th.
