📰 WEEKLY NEWS 📰
Happy Schooling🍎
The school year is in FULL SWING🏏 at TBS! We have started instruction in all areas and your children are working their little 💕💕out! You will begin to see reading fluency passages come home and those are for repeated readings with you. If they are coming home that means your child has already read them with us at school enough times to be proficient. Keep practicing them!
We are working on a date and location for a few field trips in the fall. If you have any suggestions, please click the link below to add those to the list. We'd like to stay within a 1.5 hour trip one way, so please keep that in mind when making recommendations. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 19th as we are planning a trip to the Florida Caverns in Marianna. Julie Wiliamson, Torrance's mom, will be handling travel accommodations and she has allowed us to use their brand new bus which is such a blessing! I believe she said it will hold 36, so with our 25 students, 3 teachers, 1 volunteer, and Ms. Julie, we may not have room for parents on the bus. We would really love it if the children could ride the bus with us as it is such a great bonding time, but we want you to know that they are not required to do so. If we can, we will certainly allow parents to ride with us! We just really need to know how many children will be attending and then we can go from there. There is also a link below to a form for Field Trip Info.
Snack and Lunch
Make sure you are sending a snack and lunch daily that your child will eat. They are so busy from the time they arrive until the time they leave! They can work up an appetite in no time. We have a full fridge, microwave, and toaster oven. They are welcome to use any of those. If you'd like to send bread and have them make a sandwich, they are allowed to do so. Please make sure what you send is something they can make on their own.

Reminders for Arrival and Dismissal
Please remember that DROP OFF begins at 8:30. Claire, Corinne, and I get there early to meet and gather things for the day, and as eager as we are to see the kiddos, we don't want to leave them alone for one moment while we plan. When they are with us, we want to be fully present.
Dismissal begins at 1:30. We have been dismissing them a litle early just because we see that some of you are there early and our parking lot is so small. If you are there, we will continue to dismiss them just because we want to keep some spots free for the upstairs patrons. However, you are not required to pick up until 1:30.
Singapore Math Curriculum
If you still have not ordered Math, here is the link to do so! Just order the level that corresponds with your child's grade. I highlighted what the Math workbooks and textbooks should look like for Dimensions, but please let me know if you have questions!
Reminders!
Please read the reminders to your sweet kiddos and let them know that we are here to provide the safest, most loving, and most non-pressuring, yet highly acadademically challenging environment available to them in our community. We will support them 100% of the way and we expect them to accel WITH us!
📬Invoices & Scholarships🎓
Invoices are due to be paid BY THE 1st of each month. We realize some of you are still waiting to be funded from SUFS. Our understanding is that funding should begin on September 1st! You'll notice that I have added our SUFS License # to the top right of all your invoices, even if you are not on scholarship. This is because IF you become a recipient during the year, you may want to submit the invoices for back pay. You must pay your invoice in order to receive reimbursement. As soon as we receive a decision about our Direct Pay status, we will let you all know.
