Life lesson- How it relates to Unbelievable

The life lesson I think that best fits this book is to not being afraid of what you want or need to do for what you think is right even if you might get hurt. If you are afraid of what might happen then you will never know what really is true, the future is full of surprises. The life lesson relates to Unbelievable in the fact that all four girls Aria, Spencer, Hannah, and Emily are all trying to figure out what is happening to them and the best way to handle it. A their "enemy" who is ruining their lives by letting secrets out, hurting the families, and also physically hurting them is who they do not know if they should let the authorities know about, and let A hurt them more or if they should just deal with what is going on. In the book Hannah finds valuable information about A and she tells the other three girls to meet her but by the time they get there A hits Hannah with a car. "...and when Aria had seen her cowering in the woods, twitching like a feral animal just as the SUV hit Hannah, it had only confirmed her worst fears."(p.20 Shepard) This shows gives an example of the life lesson of when Hannah took a leap of faith to say what she new she got hurt but she knew it was the best thing for the girls and her in the long run. Aria is falling in love with someone who she should be with. During the whole book Aria is making the decision to stay with the man who she want to be with but should not be with. "of course Wilden knew about what happened the night before with her and Ezra Fitz, the love of her life and AP English teacher." (p.21 Unbelievable). Aria has fallen in love with someone who she is forbidden to see, and A knows about it. This makes all Arias decision difficult. Spencer was threatened by A to steal her sisters essay she was very conflicted, doing the right or following what A wants her to do so A isn't mad? "I'm sorry about the Golden Orchid thing, i really wish it never happened."(p78 Spencer). Spencer chose to steal the paper because she did not want to deal with A's consequences if she didn't. This lesson connects to my life in many ways, If i trust my instincts then i can only hope for the best outcome. And if anything goes wrong then at least I will know that I tried my very hardest.

Companion Piece: Unfaithful By Rihanna

Story of my life

Searching for the right But it keeps avoiding me Sorrow in my soul

'Cause it seems that wrong Really loves my company
He's more than a man And this is more than love
The reason that the sky is blue The clouds are rolling in
Because I'm gone again And to him I just can't be true

And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why Every time I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be... A murderer

I feel it in the air As I'm doing my hair

Preparing for another date A kiss upon my cheek
As he reluctantly Asks if I'm gonna be out late I say I won't be long
Just hanging with the girls A lie I didn't have to tell
Because we both know Where I'm about to go And we know it very well

'Cause I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside To know that I am happy with some other guy I can see him dying

I don't wanna do this anymore I don't wanna be the reason why Every time I walk out the door I see him die a little more inside I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life I don't wanna be...

A murderer

Our love, his trust I might as well take a gun and put it to his head
Get it over with I don't wanna do this Anymore

Whoa, oh. Anymore (anymore)

I don't wanna do this anymore I don't wanna be the reason why
And every time I walk out the door I see him die a little more inside
And I don't wanna hurt him anymore I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be... A murderer (a murderer)

No, no, no Yeah, yeah, yeah

Rihanna - Unfaithful by Pierre-Luc

How Unfaithful connects to Unbelievable:

My companion piece connects with Unbelievable in many ways. The song is about murder and the book is four friends trying to find their friends murderer. The song talks about "and every time I walk out the door I see him die a little more inside" this shows how both the song and the book want the to do the right thing even when its so hard. "Aria's tongue felt leaden in her mouth. Her partner was Jenna Cavanaugh" (p102 Unbelievable) Aria has had bad experiences with Jenna but she stuck out her class and stayed because she knew that its was the right thing to do. Having to make tough decision is apart of life and growing up. When doing the whats right even if its not the best thing for you it just might get you father in the long run.
