RESULTS FOR 2018 WISD BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
9:00 AM Friday, April 20th at the WHS Library
After two rounds with a total of 50 questions, our students represented Tison strong at the 3rd Annual WISD Battle of the Books! One Tison team finished in 2nd place overall -- the 8th grade Beach Babes team!
Each team had to come up with a team name and poster, but many of our Tison teams chose to go further and coordinate outfits or costumes. At the end of of the tournament, each participant voted on the team with the MOST team spirit and the top 2 teams were all from Tison! Way to go Beach Babes & Character Crew!
All of the students who participated truly worked hard all year to read all ten books chosen for this year's tournament and many teams chose to give up time during lunch and after school to quiz each other over the books. I saw a LOT of dedication in the last few weeks!
I can't thank enough the two Tison ELA teachers who coached these 7 teams and kept the teams going throughout the school year. Mrs. Lisa Durant & Mrs. Erin Light -- you guys are awesome!

"Friends in Crisis" Awareness Presentation
(This presentation was originally scheduled for January of this semester. However, the flu season required us to move the presentation to a later date.)
Starting the week of April 30th, we will visit 6th and 7th graders during their advisory classes to introduce and discuss our Friends in Crisis Awareness presentation concerning suicide awareness. The 8th grade students will be visited during their Health/Keyboarding class. We would like you, as parents, to be fully informed of the information that will be presented so we have included a link to the Google slide presentation below. In addition, we will be providing students with an Intervention Card -- a link to this can also be found below.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email or call us!
Sincerely,
Kim Brown

TISON TENNIS NEWS
The Tison Tennis Team ended their winning season with a resounding V-I-C-T-O-R-Y. Yes, Victory. T3 crushed the Brock Eagles on Monday winning 15 to 4 and sending them home with their feathers flying. Brock just didn’t know what to do with the powerhouse players of Austin Markwardt, Shelbi Ruthesell, Marissa Bosco, Olivia Williams, Trevor Craft, and Hailey Toten. Your coach is so proud of your winning season!
