Let’s Help Put Out the Fire
The fabulous 3rd and 4th graders are lending a helping hand by collecting cases of bottled water and snacks (protein bars, granola bars, cheese and cracker, etc.) to donate to the firefighters fighting the Bastrop fires. A collection box will be set up in the 3rd and 4th grade classroom for all the generous donations.
Unable to donate, that’s ok, take a note card from the envelope on the box and write an encouraging word to help lift the spirit of those on the front lines then drop in the donation box.
All donations are greatly appreciated!!!!
THANK YOU!
NOVEMBER 15......fast approaching!!!!!!
NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL -
The Purpose of Grades – As your principal at St. Paul Lutheran School, I have asked the teachers to ensure grades are an accurate representation of how your child is doing. Grades are a means of communication between the teacher and the parent(s), that is all they are. They are not a reward or punishment, but a communication vehicle. I want parents to be fully aware of how their child is doing and how they are being prepared for their future academic well-being. Our goal is to work with the parents to help their child grow and mature. An honest assessment on our part is needed so you have an accurate picture of where they are excelling and where they need to improve. While giving “all A’s” may be popular for a teacher, or school, it is not an accurate assessment and tells the parents nothing. Most of our parents send their children to St. Paul because they want to ensure an excellent education and preparedness for high school and beyond. With that in mind, we will strive to provide an increasingly academic education and accurately inform you of your child’s strengths and weaknesses so we can work in partnership to bring out your child’s best!
