A Message from the Principal

10-11-21

Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,

Big picture
The month of October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. Please join us for our All-School Rosary on October 29, at 2:00pm in the church. You are also most welcome to attend our 8:15am Thursday School Mass, followed by Adoration, and Monday Morning Prayer at 8:00am in the library.

I am so proud of our First-Grade students who presented their Creation Story art work in the form of a Sequencing Map at Monday Morning Prayer today! The art work was beautiful, and the young students had a chance to demonstrate a new Thinking Map to the whole student body.

Our PK3 and PK4 students also got a chance to present at Monday Morning Prayer, several students presented the Double Bubble Map comparing and contrasting a wolf and a bear. PK also taught us how to sign our motto: Learn, Serve, and Lead!

Thursday is a noon dismissal and the faculty will be meeting in the afternoon to discuss their suggestions for the new HFCS Strategic Plan. The plan will be published next summer after all of our focus groups have met and the School Advisory Committee and I have analyzed the input from all our stakeholder focus groups.

Friday the full-time faculty will be at Nolan for the Diocesan In-service. The professional development topics range from Socratic Seminars, Differentiated Learning Strategies, Growth Mindset, and Cyberbullying, to name a few.

Thank you for your support of our wonderful school,

Ann Walters

Principal
