Day needs to flee the Republic before they find out he escaped execution. June helped him escape and she is on the run as well. When they meet up with the patriots they have a special mission which involves treason.
My favorite part in the book was when Day went out on an expedition and saw a kid just like his brother being experimented on. It was my favorite part because Day was looking for his brother because his brother Eden who was also being experimented on.
This is the 2nd book in the 3 book series and in this book when the doctor told Day his health status the doctor never went into why it was so bad. This makes me wonder if it will be in the next book.
I recommend this book for multiple reasons. First, this book is never in certain parts that make you want to just get past them. It is no sleeper. Secondly, the author is so great with her words she makes you feel like you are in the book. Lastly, this book is unique. It crabs you and in unrealistic moments she makes you believe it is realistic.
