Harmony Library Book Sale
Friday, March 15 - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 16 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This book sale will offer gently used books, a variety of DVDS, and music CD's for adults and children. All the proceeds will benefit library programs.
RIMOSA (Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art) Magnet Table

Age Level: All Ages
Feel the force! Discover the power of attraction by using magnets to move metal filings into your own creative designs and shapes. RIMOSA's magnet table will be at the Harmony Library for the entire month of March. Join us!
Glocester Libraries’ 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 13, 11 a.m., Acotes Field (dependent on weather conditions)
Age Level: Children up to 10 years old
Mark your calendars for the popular Glocester Libraries’ Easter Egg Hunt! Registration is not necessary, but the event will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Bring your Easter baskets and join in the fun! “Drop in” to Glocester Manton Library and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! All month we will be creating Rainbow Art using bingo blotters and coffee filters.
Cat in the Hat Drop-in Craft

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday by making a pop-up Cat in the Hat craft.
Lady Bug Drop-in Craft

Make a 3-D Lady Bug out of construction paper at your Children’s Area craft table.
Egg Decorating
Wednesday, March 13, 4:30 p.m., Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: Grades K- Grade 3
Children in grades K-3 are invited to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Eric Carle’s The Hungry Caterpillar! We will look at the special tissue paper used by Carle and then decorate eggs using tissue paper!

String Beading

Age Level: Tweens and Teens in Grade 4 and up
Tweens and teens are invited to join in the beading fun at our second meeting. This month, we will try our hand at making string beads as well as use some conventional beads to make and take home a pair of earrings, a bracelet, or a necklace.
Teen Paint Night
Wednesday, March 27, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Tweens and Teens, ages 12 and up
Painting, food, and friends! What could be more fun? Receive step-by-step instructions to create three mini-canvas paintings of cactus while enjoying a Mexican fiesta. This free program includes all materials. Space is limited so register early!

Cookbook Club

Our cookbook for this March is Smitten Kitchen Every Day: Triumphant and Unfussy New Favorites by Deb Perelman. If you would like to join, register online and then drop by the Harmony Library to pick up a copy of the book.
Tuesday Movie Matinee

Tuesday Matinees offer new feature films on the big screen. Registration is not necessary and the movies are free. Light refreshments are served. The movies include:

Kombucha Workshop
Monday, March 11, 6 p.m., Harmony Library
Age Level: Adults and teens 14 + years
Kombucha is a fermented tea rich in probiotics and antioxidants. Kombucha enthusiast, Gail Mitchell-Slezak, will bring samples, give participants an opportunity to sample several flavors, and then help everyone get started on creating their own blend. All materials will be provided.
Fearless Art Group

During the month of March, the group will meet to draw a still life. All materials will be supplied. If you wish to bring your own pencils, please do.
Crochet Group

Beginners and crocheters who are more advanced can learn and share their experience in a comfortable room for crochet and conversation! Ashley Ledoux, an experienced crocheter, will teach beginners and be available for assistance and advice.
Writers' Support Group

Read and share your personal projects at this monthly meeting. This adult group is open to writers in all genres.
Wellness on a Budget

Learn how choices in everyday products can affect your health and the environment. Gina Fligg, owner of EcoPure – a business that help people detoxify their homes, and Maggie Koosa of The Alchemists, a financial planning company, will help consumers make informed decisions while staying on a budget.
Social Security – Your Questions Answered

Are you considering retirement? Join us at the Harmony Library for a presentation by Jan Hilfer, a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Greenville, for a discussion on ways to maximize Social Security benefit amounts for the individual and the spouse, based on age, life expectancy, and need.
