Please do NOT bring the following items:
- water bottle – our generous PTA has provided water bottles for us to distribute to any child who forgets theirs; please email email@example.com if you know your child left their water bottle at home;
- lunch – all students can eat for free in the cafeteria;
- school supplies;
- library books.
We WILL take:
Print and post the graphic below to help your child remember what to bring:

Red Ribbon Week
Have you been looking for a way to connect with Skaggs and volunteer, but only have a few hours to spare? This is the job for YOU! We need a few volunteers to help us get ready for Red Ribbon Week, which takes place the last week of October. Interested? Let us know here.
The Reflections program has been a staple in many schools for over 50 years. Millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.
With positive recognition as the focus of this program rather than competition, students of all ages and abilities can experience the benefits of creative expression and in finding their own voice as they tell their unique story.
If this is your first year participating in the Reflections program or if you just want to better understand it, visit our 2019-2020 Reflections Gallery to see examples of entries that were awarded by Texas PTA in past years as well as last year's State and National results.
The due date for the Reflections entries at our school is October 30th. Please go to the Texas PTA reflections site for see rules and forms.
Express your artistic talent and tell us why you matter through Reflections!
If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Renu Gupta at SkaggsElemPTA@gmail.com.
LET'S GET HEALTHY - EAT MORE COLOR
For a FUN way to include COLOR in our kids’ meals, here’s a quick tip:
Set up a personalized pizza-making station in the kitchen. Use whole-wheat English muffins, bagels, or pita bread as the crust. Have tomato sauce, low-fat cheese, and cut-up vegetables or fruits for toppings. Let kids choose their own favorites. Then pop the pizzas into the oven to warm.
