Teacher Lesson of the Month

The April Teacher Lesson of the Month was awarded to 8th grade Health Teacher, Mr. Molfetta, for his "Effects of Alcohol" lesson. The students participated in an activity where they were asked to do different tasks wearing goggles that simulated a person's vision while intoxicated. One student said, "this activity really helped us to understand what is like to be under the influence of alcohol and how dangerous it can be. I like the way Mr. Molfetta teaches because he makes sure we participate and that we are understanding the information. Instead of reading a text book and writing stuff down on paper, he gets us engaged with physical activity or watching something interesting and writing down facts for it. The work is fun." Thanks for all you do for our students Mr. Molfetta!

Athletics will monitor and count spectators who arrive and allow access to facilities on a "first come first serve" basis. If for some reason an athlete has a parent/spectator who will be arriving late and is worried about being shut out of the event, they can contact Mr. Giametta (Athletic Director). Spectators WILL NOT be authorized onto school grounds until 20 minutes before the scheduled start time of the event. Any questions can be sent to giametta.j@beaconk12.org
