What did they do?

Muckrakers were reporters who would go into the big businesses or "behind the scenes" and take pictures of bad things that went on like the suburbs or apartments and see that people were dying and being mistreated, but no one even knew about it until reporters showed important figures the evidence and they knew that something had to be done. Muckrakers have been around for a very long time and are still around today even. There were many muckrakers back when they first became a huge thing, but two men really stood out and they were Jacob Riis and Upton Sinclair. The reason being because they were really the two men that made it stand out and started this huge idea.
