We are excited to announce that the COLINA MIDDLE SCHOOL yearbook signing tradition is alive and it’s fully digital to suit our socially distanced students.

Jostens has just launched a new platform, Yearbook Digital Signing Pages, that gives every student in our school the chance to create virtual signing pages, invite their friends to leave messages, and print out the final pages to keep with the yearbook as a permanent keepsake. This is free for every student whether they purchased a yearbook or not.

I wanted to thank all those who joined our School Site Council last Tuesday as we shared data from the family and student surveys; with confidence I can tell you we are committed to the right fit for our families. In order to stay informed on the most up to date information, a “Reopen and Redesign” web page is now available:

Additional information will continue to be added to this website in the days and weeks ahead.

SUMMER MATH REVIEW: Keeping Math Skills Sharp

Summer Review with Mrs. Coffman, (Colina’s Math Department Chairperson)

Delta Math Student Instructions: see below and attachment

Go to the website, click Create Account, and then choose Student.

It will immediately prompt you to input teacher code. 279963

Mrs. Coffman’s code is: 279963

Use your “” account for your e-mail, and your school password.

You must choose your period (from the drop-down menu) which will be one of the following (based on what year of math you’ll be taking next school year):

Future 7th Graders

Future 8th Graders

Future 9th Graders

Go through the steps of creating your account.

When you log in in the future you will see the assignments and be able to work through them.

I really like Delta Math because there is a Show Example button in the top right, so if you are stuck you can click that for support, you can also watch video lessons and you can do an unlimited amount of practice on any topic even if I only assigned a few problems. It also shows you the worked-out solution (for most problems) once you submit your work.

CVUSD Technology: Device Update

To date more than 4,000 technology devices and 70 WiFi hotspots have been distributed to students to support distance learning through our technology device loaner program. As the school year draws to a close, we want to clarify which CVUSD technology devices that have been loaned to families are required to be returned.

For students who are returning to CVUSD for the 2020-2021 school year, if you choose, please continue to loan the device through the summer.

For students who are returning to CVUSD, but would like to return their borrowed technology device - please schedule a “Return my device” appointment now via our online form.

For students that are graduating seniors and/or are disenrolling from CVUSD, we respectfully request the loaned device be returned. For students who are graduating and/or no longer attending a CVUSD school in the Fall, please follow the device return instructions that may have been previously communicated by your school site OR schedule a “Return my device” appointment now via our online form.

CVUSD’s team of dedicated technicians will continue to provide a vast array of technology support and guidance for our students, and families - a comprehensive list of support options is available here.
