Message from the Principal
Hello parents,
As we close our third week of school, we are excitedly preparing to see you at Back to School Night on Wednesday of next week. I will be hosting a welcome session for parents of students in grades 7-12 at 6:30 pm in the auditorium (remember parents of 6th graders - your child's Back to School Night was on September 4). Parents can pick up their child's schedule and view displays of co-curricular programs in the lobby/Gold Cafeteria area starting at 6:00 pm. General class sessions will be ten minutes in length. This is your opportunity to meet your child's teachers, hear about the requirements of each course, and get an understanding for each teacher's expectations for the year.
Seniors met this week with their class advisers and Mr. Dobbins in their Townhall meeting during HS advisory. They discussed purchasing senior t-shirts, make-ups for senior pictures, the yearbook dedication, the Class of 2019 photograph, and details of the Senior Trip. Please speak to them about these milestones and ensure they have everything in order so they don't miss out on something important!
Our first Students of the Month for the 2018-19 school year were selected and honored. The students chosen were:
Kennedy Lane - 6th Grade
Issac Medina - 6th Grade
Elijiah Olivero - 7th Grade
Savannah Jackson - 7th Grade
Gagandeep Kumar - 8th Grade
Xiomara Bourgeois - 8th Grade
Dahquan Richardson - 9th Grade
Gabriel Lavender - 10th Grade
Milani Harvey - 11th Grade
Tim Wade - 12th Grade
In addition to the photograph below and a certificate of recognition, these awesome kids also received a "W" cinch bag! Please join me in congratulating these standout students!
That is all for now...have a great weekend!
Keep Love Present,
Dr. Vivadelli

A Message from the Cafeteria
Woodbury City Public Schools is pleased to continue using the online payment system for school breakfast, lunch and snacks. This system will enable parents to add funds, check balances and review purchases on their student’s cafeteria account. Additionally, you can modify your account settings to receive notifications when the account is getting low. Letters have been mailed home, with your student’s ID along with the following link:

21st Century After School Program
The 21st Century Program is excited for the return of our after school offerings beginning on Monday, September 17. This program is free to any student in grades 6-10. Times for the program are: M-R 2:45 pm to 6:00 and Fridays 2:45 to 5:30 pm. An exciting new format is available to students this year; they can now experience the program in multiple locations around town! Students will be given a schedule of activities being held at our building, at the YMCA, the Woodbury Library and the Boys and Girls Club. With a parent signature, students can choose where they will attend each day. At the conclusion of the afternoon, students will be allowed to return to the Junior-Senior High School at 5:30 to get a complimentary dinner. Applications are available in Mr. Miller’s office located in the counseling suite.
