Do you need help completing the online FAFSA form?
Jennifer Almli from the Student Assistance Foundation and Rory Seegar, the financial aid officer from DCC, will be on hand to help parents and students with their online FAFSA form. Remember, the FAFSA must be completed in order for students to qualify for federal loans, pell grants or work study. In many cases, institutions use the FAFSA to determine state and institution aid as well.
For Montana colleges, the priority deadline for the FAFSA is March 1st with the University of Montana having a February 15th deadline. If you are unable to complete the FAFSA by the priority deadline, you are still encouraged to submit the online form at a later date.
Create your FSA ID prior to completing & submitting the FAFSA.
What is the FSA ID? This ID is used to electronically sign federal student aid documents as well as access personal records. Each student and parent completing the FAFSA must have a FSA ID. It is highly recommended that the ID be created a few days prior to attempting to complete the online FAFSA form. The FSA ID will replace the PIN that was used previously to sign the online FAFSA.
