Track Has A Great Day At State Sectionals
The Vikings traveled to Lutheran South for the Class 5 State Sectionals on Saturday and came away with several State Qualifiers that will advance to the State Championships next Friday and Saturday in Jefferson City. Below you can find the state qualifiers from Saturday along with their finish at State Sectionals. Good luck to all of our State Qualifiers!

Baseball Wins District Championship
win the Vikings moved to 26-8 on the season. The Vikings will host FZN on Tuesday in the State Sectionals at 4 p.m. We hope to see all Viking fans in blue and gold on Tuesday night at the H as the baseball program looks to advance to the State Quarterfinals.

Baseball To Host State Sectional Game
a MSHSAA
state game so admission to the game will be $6. No passes are allowed for the state game. Below you can find a map of the entrance for baseball parking on Tuesday. Please note there will only be one entrance to park for baseball on Tuesday. It is recommended that fans arrive early to avoid lines and to also obtain a seat. The gate will open at 2:45 p.m. for the game. A very large crowd is anticipated for this Sectional game. Morgan Harrington Named Next Head Girls Basketball Coach
Howell would like to welcome Morgan Harrington to the Howell family as she takes over as head girls basketball coach. Coach Harrington was a standout basketball player at Missouri State University and Lindenwood University. She spent two seasons as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Murray State University and has spent the past two years as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Lindenwood University.

Coach Carlson Takes Over As Head Cross Country Coach
Viking fans will be excited with a new edition to the cross country schedule that was announced earlier in the week. Francis Howell High School is teaming up with Maryville University to offer the Maryville University XC Open at Six Flags. College programs from throughout the midwest will run in the meet prior to 30 high schools participating in the high school division on September 17th. We look forward to seeing you support our Vikings at Six Flags in September!
Howell Track Names New Head Boys & Girls Track Coaches
Girls Track
FHHS has named Kyle Deeken as it’s new head girls track coach. Kyle was previously an assistant within the track program at Howell. Kyle was a standout at Maryville University as a member of the Cross Country and Track programs.
Boys Track
FHHS has named Dane Williamson as its next head boys track coach. Coach Williamson took over as interim head track coach this season and has been an assistant within the program for 3 years.
Coach Deeken and Coach Williamson are currently in the process of filling their staff’s for the 16-17 season. Stay tuned for further announcements regarding the track staff for next season.
Cross Country
FHHS has named Tracy Carlson as it’s new head cross country coach. Tracy Carlson has been an assistant cross country coach for 7 years at FHHS. Tracy is also the head boys tennis coach and an assistant within the girls basketball program.
FHHS has named Kyle Deeken as an assistant coach within the cross country program. This will be Coach Deeken’s first year in the FHHS Cross Country program.
