Now Hiring - UGA's Department of Development & Alumni Relations, Office of Special Events
The Office of Special Events here at The University of Georgia handles an average of 130 events per year, including those that are most closely related to the President of the university and senior administrators.
Duties and Responsibilities: Format invitation lists for use to produce mailing labels, R.S.V.P. lists, and name tags for events. Record R.S.V.P.s on a daily basis. Prepare invitations for mailing. Pack event suitcases for events using event checklists. Perform basic clerical duties as assigned on the daily task schedule. Pack and unpack vans as they go to and from events. Maintain inventory records for storage units. Run errands as necessary and transport event materials to and from storage units. Complete paperwork for foundation check requests for event directors. Perform special projects as assigned by event directors or administrative supervisors.

Now Hiring - United States Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management
The United States Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM) is offering a paid 2019 summer internship program for both undergraduates and graduate students. The internship program will be administered by Vanderbilt University sponsored through a cooperative agreement (CRESP) with the Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management. 10 Internships will be offered at 4 DOE –EM sites.
This program has been designed to maximize benefits to both students and DOE-EM. As an example, during the 10-week program, all interns will travel to a DOE-EM site for a meeting to learn more about the EM Cleanup Program and future job opportunities with DOE. Workshop will cover:
- How to walk through an algorithm problem,
- How to brainstorm solutions,
- How to discuss the problem with your interviewer,
- And how to write (and test) code on a whiteboard.
Shire Open House - Spring 2019 and Summer 2019 Biotech Internships
Date: Thursday, November 29
Time: 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Location: 505 Shire Parkway, Social Circle, GA
Shire will be hosting an Open House Event specifically for students interested in internship opportunities for either Spring or Summer of 2019. If you would like to attend, please register using the link below. There will be a cap of 60 students for the event, so be sure to register early.
During the Open House, you will have the opportunity to speak with hiring managers and Subject Matter Experts who are hiring interns for the Shire GA Manufacturing facility. You will also be able to take a window tour of the manufacturing buildings. We are excited to show you our state-of-the art Biotech facility and share our passion for providing life-saving therapies to our patients.
