May 2023
Warmer Days Ahead!
May is one of my favorite months of the year. It starts off still very much as spring with cooler mornings and nights but by the end we have consistent hot days and swimming weather has come to stay. So much of the early buds and greens of spring leave and bold bright greens and clear blue skies make a days beautiful. There's a call from nature to get out of our house and go do something.
We've embraced that call at the senior center in the month of May with many activities. On May 1st we are closed for senior games at Spooky Nook. On May 10 we will be having a picnic in the park at Governor's Stable Park (more information later in the newsletter). On May 17 we will be going to the Barnstormers game. In addition to the planned outside activities we will also be moving our active morning games outside as weather allows.
Sub Sale!
There's still times to submit your sub orders! Help us reach our goal!
Our goal is to sell more than 500 items! This will raise over $1,500 for the activities at the senior center.
Sell subs during the month of April. Return your order form by Friday, May 5. Subs will be available for pick up after 2 pm on Tuesday, May 16. Thanks for your support!
