Sugar is Everywhere
Many people think that avoiding candy, sodas, and other sugary foods is healthy, but this is not always true. Many foods such as gatorade, granola bars, yogurt, and peanut butter have added sugar. Most of the sugar comes from drinks. There is a difference between natural sugars and added sugars. Fruits have natural sugars.
Types of sugar and effects
When reading food labels, sugar is not always easy to see. There are 56 different types of sugar. Any words ending in "ose" are sugar. Eating too much sugar can lead to liver disease, tooth decay, and obesity.
