Writer's Workshop

We are just about done with our farm books this week. We have completed Table of Contents, About the Author pages, and finished adding color. They are looking great! We can't wait to see them in the hallway!

Reader's Workshop

We have also been talking about identifying differences between cultures in our books and how people from other places and different backgrounds may eat different foods, live in different homes, speak different languages, etc. Some books we have read include:

Same, Same But Different by Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw

It's Okay to be Different by Todd Parr

Throw Your Tooth on the Roof: Tooth Traditions from Around the World by Selby Beeler

Fundations

Only one more digraph left! Next week: wh!

SCHOLASTIC

I will be submitting book orders on Sunday! Remember, book orders get us books for the class! (I've already used my points to get a handful of books, so thank you!)
