Frontline Leave Requests
Prearranged absences are a cake walk. You can enter those in advance.
What about those days when you wake up and are sick, or your child is sick? What is the best process??
1) Either open the Frontline app and enter your absence or log in from your computer (preferably before 6:30 a.m.).
2) Text Tina so she can double check the system is working as it should.
3) Go back to bed and rest so you can heal quicker and return to work faster.
IF.....it is after 6:30, still enter it in Frontline. For anyone who requires a sub, you may get a message that it is after the "window" set by your administrator. This means we go back to our manual way of finding subs. Text me immediately so I can get going on it.
The easiest and most ideal situation is that absences are reported in Frontline prior to 6:30 a.m.
Please have a plan in your head so you know how to react in the morning rush situation.
Thanks for your help!!

Surplus Roundup
In the next few weeks, I would like to try to round up any surplus and broken or out of date equipment and I could really use your help.
This could be extra math manipulatives that are never used, old reading/math/science/social studies books or supplemental materials, old globes or maps that are no longer used, etc.
We currently have some tables set up in the PTO room as a gathering place for such things. If you have these types of items in your closets and you are ready to get rid of them, please take them to the PTO room by February 25th.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

- Run your bacon under cold water before cooking it. Doing so will reduce shrinkage by 50%
- Poke a fork through the creamy part of the Oreo, so you can dip the whole Oreo in the milk without getting your fingers wet.
- When filling up your car with gas, hold the trigger halfway. You'll get more gas and less air in the tank.

Flyin' High with RTI
Jaymee says: Our groups are in full swing! My LLI groups are working on fantasy fiction and nonfiction expository texts. My phonics groups are really working hard to master the reading and writing of high-frequency words. This is proving to be a challenge for a few of them, but we will keep working on it.
Renee says: Math Lab groups are going well! I'm going to incorporate some Tumblemath lessons into Math Lab from time to time, especially for those lessons that need a lot of visuals.
MFM Addition help session for 4th grade is 10:30-11:00 on Fridays.
MFM Subtraction help session for 4th grade is 1:05-1:35 on Fridays.
Zen Zone WILL be open tomorrow from 1:45-2:15. Any student that wants to swap out B.O.B. books OR who missed Library this week and needs books may come down during that time too!
Battle of the Books
Everything you need to know for this year's big battle:
- Here's the link to the parent letter in case the parents in your room have questions! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fqj16wVfKA7ld4VJZ9CXUS9A3hN2DYeXqRypLz9QXNA/edit?usp=sharing
- Students can come down to exchange B.O.B. books first thing in the morning.
- Reminder, there are exciting changes to this year's final battle! The REC committee worked to address teacher and student concerns about number of student participants and crowd control! First, each homeroom will have the winning team from the first round represented at a table on the gym floor during the final battle. We will have a separate 3rd grade and 4th grade battle to reduce the volume in the gym.
- The 7 third grade teams that advance to the final battle will also each have a staff representative added! If you would like to participate, please email Renee!
- Let the reading begin!
- UPDATE: Wednesday and Thursday classes should have all B.O.B. books checked in and will battle next week in order to keep things fair. :)
Reminders
