Big picture

Welcome Back!

We are so happy to welcome our Wildcats back to school. We hope that everyone had a restful and wonderful break.

We'd like to remind all our families that vaccinations are now available for our students. Please make an appointment to have your child vaccinated, as soon as possible. Not only does this help keep them healthy, but it prevents your child from being quarantined if they are in close contact with a positive individual. Let's keep working together to keep our community healthy!

We have three (3) weeks of school before Winter Break. Let's make the best of the last weeks of 2021!

Happy Hanukkah

Today marks the beginning of Hanukkah, or the Festival of Lights, and it ends, on Monday, December 6th. We'd like to wish a Happy Hanukkah to all of our families who celebrate this special holiday.

Congratulations to Jeremy Campos for his winning design for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Art Contest. Jeremy will go on to compete at the district level this week. Good luck, Jeremy! We are very proud of you!

Thank you, everyone, for your support!

Willard Annual Fund

The Willard Annual Fund is a key source of funding for programs at our school. In the past, the WAF has paid for science lab, language classes, and our library coordinator.

This year, we are hoping to expand our Willard Annual Fund committee to help set goals and key fundraising initiatives. Please email me with your best availability if you are interested in participating in the Annual Fund:

Finally, as we close 2021, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our Annual Fund. Any amount helps. Thank you!

IB Learner Profile: Open-Minded

IB encourages students to appreciate their own culture and personal histories in addition to the values and traditions of others. As we enter the holiday season, talk to your children about how your family celebrates the season and also help them appreciate that others may do so differently.

Doing so will help further the aim of the IB in helping individuals "become responsible members of local, national and global communities."

PUSD Food Services Food Shortage Notice

Please note that PUSD is experiencing food shortages. All students will have meals available on campus, but some items may be substituted. Thank you for understanding.

Television Show - Squid Game

We have recently seen an increase in play imitating shows that children see on television, specifically Squid Game. We would like to remind you that this show is rated M for mature and is intended for older audiences. (The name is indeed misleading.) Please be sure to monitor your child's viewing choices to ensure that it is age appropriate. As always, please feel free to contact your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns. We thank you for your support in keeping our students safe and healthy.

No Toys at School

Please do not allow your child to bring toys to school. Toys are easily lost or damaged on the playground. We do not want our students to suffer these disappointments. The school is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged toys. Thank you for understanding and for your support.

At Home Screening

Before leaving home all students, employees, and parents must conduct a self-check. Ask yourself these questions:

Do I have a fever?

Do I have a cough?

Am I experiencing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?

Am I experiencing any other symptoms?

Have I been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?

In the last two weeks, have I been directed to quarantine, isolate or take a COVID-19 test?

Upon arrival at school, school staff will perform a brief check-in to verify that students have completed a symptom screening.
