Our scholars did an amazing job on Friday, September 29th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church during the Town Hall Meeting in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. I want to thank Ms. Sullivan and her team for all of their hardwork to ensure our scholars were topnotch. This event featured a panel of guest speakers to include Chairman Charlotte Nash of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, Father Refugio of St. Patricks Catholic Church, Elected Officials and representatives from the Police Department, Fire and Emergency Services, and the local community.

IOWA Testing

Dear 2nd and 5th grade Parents,

Your child will be participating in the 2017 administration of The Iowa Assessments between Monday, October 23rd through Friday, October 27th.. The Iowa Assessments help determine how students are performing on nationwide standards.

The Iowa Assessments help teachers identify a student’s strengths and areas that may need additional emphasis. The Iowa Assessments also measure student growth and progress in the content areas assessed from year to year. The assessments produce information that enables sound decision making and provides a focus for teachers to evaluate instruction.

Thank you for making sure your child is present and on time each of these days. Our staff wants to provide your child with the best opportunity to be successful. Since the formal testing environment cannot be duplicated in a make-up session, it is to your child’s advantage to be at school during these scheduled test days. Once testing has begun each day, no child will be allowed to enter the classroom tardy.
