Taking Time Tool
There are many moments in life where we may experience big feelings and need to use our Taking Time Tool. This tool has 2 parts that are called "time-in" and "time-away." A "time-in" is used when you just need a moment to reflect on which tools may help you navigate your current situation. "Time-away" is when your feelings feel so big that you can't yet access your tools so you take a break. This ensures you can take space away from the problem and calm yourself so you can make wise choices. This is the foundation of understanding self control and self care.
