Stars and Wish:
- Parents shared so many compliments and appreciation for the conferences you did with them. And many of you are chasing down your last few - thank you for your care and persistence for kids!
- CALMING - I love walking our hallways and hearing school related chatter and laughs and the feeling the calmness of our building. The culture of safety and security is strong! And the positive vibes can be felt. The two main things I hear when walking visitors around is how calm and clean the building is - this definitely helps with learning:)
- Thank you to those who made math game station match the objective of the day - keeping the stations relevant and fresh help with engagement level and supports the learning of the day!
Wish:
- Be thinking about what classrooms here at Gray you would like to visit to see great instruction and get more ideas for you and your classroom. Get out and see new ideas - it is the best part of my job - seeing creative and cool ideas. If you visit 3 classrooms before December and write a brief reflection on this google form you can earn a free pass to leave after school throughout December if no duties. Leave as soon as you can December 3-December 20 if you participate. It is optional and after I receive your responses on the google form I will notify you if you get to leave early during that time frame. If there is a specific time you'd like to visit and you need coverage for a while let me know and we will work to get someone to cover your classroom. Let the visits begin!
Trauma Tidbits
Composure is self regulation in action. It is the prerequisite skill adults need before disciplining.
Composure determines our perception, and our perception dictates whether we punish and blame or teach new skills.
