The Washington Eagles
Week of December 15th-December 19th, 2014
From the Eagle's Nest!
Dear Families,
On Tuesday, December 16th at 6:00 PM, the Neenah Joint School District Board of Education will be voting on a proposed 4K program for the 2015-2016 School Year.
This program will have a direct affect on the Washington Early Learning Center. If passed, WELC will open 5 to 8 new classrooms for 4-year-olds! Additional classrooms, for a total of about 10 classrooms district-wide, will be housed within NJSD elementary schools and/or Neenah community sites. The additional sites have not yet been determined.
Having a 4-year-old Kindergarten program will allow more opportunities for ALL children to have a pre-K experience and will give children with special needs the opportunity to learn in a classroom/school environment with their typically developing peers.
I invite and encourage parents to attend this important meeting and to express your personal thoughts on what this program would mean to your family.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to call me.
Thank you!
Mrs. Nelson
