Reminder - Updated Masking Policy Now In Effect
At the April meeting of the Joint Executive Governing Board, an update to the district's Safe Return to School Plan was approved. This includes the district moving to masks recommended for students and staff. The change went into effect Monday, April 18. Masks will continue to be required on school buses.
We understand that there are personal reasons why an individual would choose to continue wearing a mask, and everyone will still have the opportunity to do so.
As we have throughout the pandemic, Normandy will continue to consult with local public health experts and follow the recommendations of the CDC to guide our safety mitigation practices. The updated guidelines can be found on our website, www.normandysc.org/BeSafeNormandy.
Superintendent Search Now Underway
The Normandy Schools Collaborative is beginning the search for a new superintendent to join the district in July 2022.
The Joint Executive Governing Board has secured the Missouri School Boards' Association as the search firm to lead the process. Candidates can submit applications; the deadline for submissions is May 6, 2022. The screening process will run from May 9-20.
The MSBA plans to wrap up the search process by June 17 with an anticipated start date of July 1 for the district's new leader. The district will share updates on the process as it progresses.
