Project Dance Pure Joy!
St. Charles North High School Team Polaris club presents, Project Dance Pure Joy. Although our event will be looking a bit different this year, Team Polaris with the help of students and staff in District 303 has stopped at nothing to bring the theme and feel of "PURE JOY" to our community tonight and always. This YouTube premiere video is linked out from our website.
Team Polaris promotes awareness for individuals with special needs within our school community and beyond. We provide an environment for all students to feel safe, comfortable, and always welcome while systematically providing awareness and education to our school about individuals with special needs.
Project Dance is an extension of our club beliefs and provides awareness and funds for community resources for individuals with special needs. In normal years, we host a 4-hour dance party the last weekend in February with many of the aspects you will see in this video. We look forward to the time when we can "See you all again!"
This year our two beneficiaries are D303 United and Marklund. D303 United is our school district's Special Olympics program for 8 years of age through 8th grade year. Participants are able to play during the school year in various sports. Marklund is a nonprofit organization that serves infants, children, teens, and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. Visit our website to learn more about donating to these wonderful resources within our community!

NHS & Science NHS Shady Hill Gift Card Fundraiser
Hello D303 Community! We hope this flyer finds you safe, healthy, feeling good, and getting ready to celebrate what has truly been a momentous year! In the spirit of spring and the hope that we will be able to celebrate special events like birthdays, Mother’s Day, and, as we know now, graduations, two of our honor societies have partnered with a local nursery, Shady Hill Gardens, in Elburn, IL, to offer $25 gift certificates to be used at their store. These gift cards never expire and can be used to purchase anything that Shady Hill offers in gardening and home decor throughout the year. Please use the QR code to place your order! The 2021 Lincoln Award Winner Is...
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson! Each year, the Lincoln Award is given to the author, whose book receives the most votes from high school students in Illinois. It is awarded by the Association of Illinois School Library Educators.
Truly Devious
Bestselling author Maureen Johnson weaves a delicate tale of murder and mystery in the first book of a striking new series…True-crime aficionado Stevie Bell is set to begin her first year at Ellingham Academy, and she has an ambitious plan: She will solve this cold case. That is, she will solve the case when she gets a grip on her demanding new school life and her housemates: the inventor, the novelist, the actor, the artist, and the jokester. Truly Devious makes a surprise return, and death revisits Ellingham Academy. The past has crawled out of its grave. Someone has gotten away with murder. Check out this book and other great reads at Destiny Discover Home Page.
International Moment of Laughter Day - April 14
This day is a reminder that laughter is truly the best medicine! To celebrate International Moment of Laughter Day, pick up a book guaranteed to make you laugh out loud! See our recommendations below.
Heretics Anonymous
Heretics Anonymous starts as just a way for its members to vent about the injustices they see around the school..,[but], turns into more of an activist organization when Michael suggests they stop simply complaining...and start taking action. The best part - even though almost every character practices a different religion... they are still able to get along. - Daily Nebraskan
The Field Guide To The North American Teenager
Check out The Field Guide To The North American Teenager. Norris Kaplan is clever, cynical, and quite possibly too smart for his own good. Plunked into a new high school...he finds himself cataloging everyone he meets...But the night of the prom, Norris screws everything up royally. As he tries to pick up the pieces, he realizes it might be time to stop hiding behind his snarky opinions and start living his life. - Barnes & Noble
