About d-day

D-day is one of the most important events in ww2. It pushed the nazi's back towards Germany. They lost most of the land they captured earlier in the war. They also lost a lot of troops. D Day was the beginning of the end of world war 2.

Fun facts

  • The American's entered the war on December 1941
  • The Atlantic wall was 2,400 miles long
  • The Atlantic wall was built to hold back the U.S and its allies
  • We landed at midnight but didn't attack untill early morning
  • They began planning for d-day in 1943
  • Over 11,000 planes supported the attack
