Celebrating our students
Greetings Awesome Parents!
Friday we celebrated a lot of the successes going on at Eastridge during our monthly Team Huddle.
The following students were recognized for having the highest grade level growth on the NWEA Reading Assessment:
Kindergarten: Ayden Brown
First Grade: Stormie Berkowitz
Second Grade: Geniyah Rush
Third Grade: Tristan Wilson-Young
Fourth Grade: Nena Wilson
The following students were recognized for having the jighest grade level growth on the NWEA Math Assessment:
Kindergarten: Zoe Montero-Medina
First Grade: Tywuan Johnson
Second Grade: Jadorian Robinson
Third Grade: Omar Avery
Fourth Grade: Tyrell Morris
Our winning grade level for the best attendance went to Third Grade. Kindergarten and First Grade tied for the least amount of disciple referrals and took home the prize for the month of January.
Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to provide an excellent education for your student. Please note that sending your student to school every day ready to learn helps our teachers deliver reading, math, writing, and social content that paves the way for student success.
We appreciate you and send you many thanks!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Johnson
A Note from Mrs. Wilson
Last week was anything but typical. We weathered some pretty crazy temperatures and a bit of snow, causing some weather related delays and closures. We missed some of the kiddos, realizing that some families chose to keep them home a couple of days. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday and getting back to our regular schedule!
Given that the weather cut into our instructional time last week, we will be continuing during Community Time this week working on those problem solving skills. Students will be working in their classrooms on strategies for solving social problems, as well as spending some time on community/ team building activities.
It is my hope that Eastridge is a place that both you and your child(ren) find a sense of connectedness and community, and we have some great opportunities coming up for you and/ or your child(ren) to come enjoy some time together here at school and in the community. Upcoming events include the Sweetheart Dance, Roller Cave skating parties, as well as meeting up for breakfast at McDonald's. We can't wait to see you there!
Have a great week!
