Playposit (a.k.a EduCanon)

Playposit is an online learning environment to create and share interactive video lessons. Teachers begin with any online video (screencasts, Khan Academy, TED, etc.) and transform what is traditionally passive content into an active experience for students, with time-embedded activities.

Find out how well students understand content with short questions throughout the video and a dashboard with grade breakdowns. Who doesn't like to watch videos?

Look at and use pre-made lessons or "bulbs" or make our own.

Custom Google Search Engines

While many teachers embrace the chaos of digital research (it is the “real world,” after all), for others setting students loose on Google is a recipe for a research project chock-full of Yahoo! Answers and Wikipedia entries. While evaluating the credibility of information is an important part of any research project, giving your students proper tools to do the cognitive heavy lifting you’d like them to can be just as important.

The answer: create a Custom Google Search Engine.
