HOW TO RELAX IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY

Step 1 - SLOW DOWN
Do not react immediately. Gather as much information as possible. Try not to get emotionally involved. This will help you make decisions from a more reasonable perspective.
Step 2 - STAY POSITIVE
When stressful situations occur, our mind can go into hyper-drive. The more our mind wanders, we begin to have negative thoughts that cause us to begin to lose control. Let go of negative thoughts and refocus on something positive, no matter how small.
Step 3 - MOVE YOUR BODY
Make your personal health a priority. Eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep. By taking care of your body, you'll increase self-control and emotional intelligence - important characteristics that will help you respond in a crisis.
Step 4 - DEVELOP COPING STRATEGIES
If you remain in a prolonged state of stress, you may cause long-term damage to your health and undermine your ability to make rational and informed decisions. To better cope, develop a ritual you enjoy. Below are some ideas to get you started.
