Dear Parents,
We are excited to announce NEW after school enrichment classes for our 2nd trimester, starting December 3rd. This session will have 12 (yes, 12!) of your favorite RHLS teachers, including Sra. Blocker, Dr. Brown, Mrs. Chun, Mrs. Dovenmuehler, Mrs. Elias, Ms. Fleischbein, Ms. Gomez, Mr. Hunter, Mrs. Hernandez, Mr. Martin, Ms. Occhipinti and Mrs. Parks.
Our classes will feature, sports, performing arts, fine arts, activities, and more; with 9 brand new class offerings with the theme "Learning IS Fun!"
NEW! Spirit Squad (Perform at Pep Rallies)
Cheer and dance basics with our Praise and Movement Director, and Performing Arts teacher, Ms. Occhipinti. Students will learn what it takes to be a Spirit Leader at RHLS, and perform alongside our Middle School Praise and Movement Dancers at one chapel (date TBA) and at the all-school pep rally, Monday February 25th. Costume fee includes (full uniform, hair bow, and use of RHLS poms). Shoes to be individually purchased separately by parents.
NEW! RHL Violin Class
Students will learn violin posture and technique and will begin instruction on instruments through beginning repertoire and exercises. Students of all levels welcome. Proficient students will be challenged through leadership and other musical differentiation. Violins needs to be supplied by families.
(4th grader school violin may be used)

HOLIDAY! Craft Crew
Come join the craft crew with Mrs. D! Each class will begin with a devotion, discussion, and prayer. A new craft project will be taught each week that will focus on the upcoming holidays. Some of the crafts can be a perfect Christmas gift to give to your loved ones! Each week students will learn something new.
New! Mixed Media Art Class
Students will develop their creativity and have a blast while designing their own masterpieces. Projects will explore a variety of fine arts activities including: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpture. Each week, Mrs. Chun, will introduce students to a variety of materials and techniques to develop their skills and expand their creative self-confidence.
NEW! Introduction to Hand Lettering: Pen Calligraphy
Students will learn the art of hand lettering using a brush pen and lettering guides. They will create a project per month over the course of the trimester. After completing this course, students should feel confident in creating fun and beautiful hand letter projects. Check out www.morrishandmade.com and follow @morrishandmade on Instagram to get an idea of the type of art that will be taught. $25 supply fee includes: 2 brush pens, lettering pad, printed guides, art pouch, extra paper, pencils and various extra project materials.
NEW! Reading and Creative Crafts
Are your two favorite things reading and crafting? Come take a class with Ms. Gomez! Students will be encouraged to enjoy reading by linking the stories to crafts. Kids will do a fun project for exploration of a chosen book and by pairing the craft with a book, storybooks come to life for fun memories and literature learning.
NEW! Trombone: pBone Bonanza
pBones are bright colored trombones... Join Mr. Hunter (all levels welcome) for this pBone class! Trombone players with prior experience will be challenged in leadership roles, differentiated music and small ensemble opportunities. This class will be very fun!
NEW! Spanish Club
Come have fun while learning Spanish! Young students pick up new languages so quick, this is a great class to expand your vocabulary in a second language. We will learn through crafts, snacks, dance, song, and games. In addition, we will learn more about Spanish speaking countries.
NEW! Play it Now!
RHL Family Fun Time! Come play board games with Ms. Occhipinti. The focus will be learning new strategies and having fun. Learn a variety of board games, spatial games, card games. Take home some great ideas for spending time with family and friends for a fun game night. It will be a blast!
NEW! Kids in the Kitchen: "Mixing" Creativity and Science
Are you ready for a delicious adventure? Students will bake, while learning essential skills in measurement and mixing along with the purpose of various ingredients. We'll make tasty recipes that you can go home and share with your family! We will also make Christmas classics, beautiful and delicious treats!

Important Details:
Students check-in at Daycare and receive a snack. At 3:15, they are escorted by their instructor to their class.
Pick-up: Parents sign-out their child in front of the daycare room. Parents should go directly to the basketball court, and sign out on the enrichment class roster (not the yellow sheet on the daycare cart). Please sign out your child by 4:15. At 4:20, all remaining students will be signed into daycare and charge $9/hour (if not on a daycare plan).
No Class: No classes on minimum days, holidays, camp days. No refund for cancellations. If a class is cancelled, there will be no daycare charge until 4:10, and a make-up class will be scheduled if possible.
In addition, we also offer the following for Kindergarten - 8th Grade:
