Oak trees in Lithuania
& a new project
Oak in the forest towers with might,
In the fire brings the Gods in sight.
In the fire brings the Gods in sight.
We planted an oak tree in Lithuania, in an oak wood near Kėdainiai,
to remember those rooted in Keidan and who were/are proud to say
"Me? I'm a Keidaner!"
"Achievements don’t come around by themselves. You’ve got to make them come around.”(Martin Kagan)

Last year we planted an oak tree for Ellen Cassedy, the author of the book We are Here, who visited our school and talked to our students.
Thank you all who visited our school in person or shared information or photos to our project.

A New Project
European Day of Jewish Culture 2014
After reading "Balad of the Shtetl"("Miestelio Romansas") by G. Kanovich,
which was named as the best Lithuanian novel of the year 2013,
we decided to dwell our project on the topic "My Mother"
& create an e-book with memories we could share about our Mothers.
We invite you, Kedainers, share your memories & photos of your Mother or Grandmother.
Share a poem or a song that stay in your memory. You can write or make a video recording & send us.
LULLABY IN YIDDISH
We started our project participating in an educational lesson "Women in Judaism" and listening to Mr Alexandre Kaplan's story about his family & his Mother.
Let's publish an e-book full of memories about our dear Mother
