Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to Cameron's After School Program
A school administrator has nominated you for this new, unique and free after school program hosted by Cameron Middle School. This fantastic program has universities and community partners collaborating with the Community Resource Development Department to bring high-quality programming. The program will be focusing on opportunities to build leadership skills, get involved with community-based projects, and even potentially earn:
- Access to the YMCA and its facility
- Additional College preparedness by Framingham State University
- Additional supportive adults
- Incentive prizes (sweatshirts, water bottles, field trips, etc.)
- Framingham High School Credit
Programming runs Monday through Thursday. We provide supplies, snacks, and transportation for all students confirmed in the program. The schedule is as follows:
2:30 pm - 3:00 pm: Snack
3:00 pm - 4:45 pm: Clubs
4:45 pm - 5:00 pm: Dismissal

Program Overview
Three different tracks are offered; Leadership by North America Scholastic E-Sports Federation, ChangeMakers by the YMCA, and Early College and Career planning by the Metrowest College Planning Collaborative.
What are the program dates/times?
The program will run onsite at the school from September 27th, 2022 - June 15th, 2023 (Monday - Thursday 2:30 pm - 4:45 pm)

Please note, students are only required to attend three or the four days offered.
The program follows the school schedule and will not have programming on non-school days, half days, and vacation weeks.
What if my child is not able to commit to 3 out of the four days?
Students will still be able to opt for clubs after school if the Flyers After School program does not meet their schedule. Unfortunately, the attendance requirement is part of the program grant requirements.
How was my student(s) nominated to this program?
As part of the grant that funds this program, students are considered for various reasons, such as referrals, socio-economic status, potential success track for student(s). You may choose to accept or decline the invitation
*Please note in a previous email, it said your child was nominated. It may also be that your child was selected for any of the criteria listed above.
How is this program funded?
The program is grant-funded and is free to students. This year Fuller is a recipient of a 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant. Programming is designed to help close proficiency/opportunity gaps, increase student engagement, support social and emotional learning, and promote college and career readiness and success.
Will transportation be available?
Yes, transportation is available for students at no cost.
Is this program required?
This program is optional and not required.

Hello Cameron Families! My name is Keziah Franca, and I’m proud to say I am the Out of School Time Coordinator over at Cameron Middle School! I am an alum of the Framingham Public System and I love being able to give back to the place that shaped me into the person I am today. I am first generation Brazilian-American, and can speak Portuguese and Spanish. My goal is to help our curriculum flourish and enrich student leadership and strengthen their social and emotional relationships.
