The Counseling Center is pleased to bring Kim Scardina, LCPC from OSF Eating Disorders Program to the Knox campus! She will be offering a confidential group that will cover a variety of topics, including; healthy eating, body image, media influence, and more. This will be a safe space for individuals to learn and share if they choose to. This confidential group will be held biweekly on Thursdays at 4pm starting January 21st! Other Winter Term Groups

Addressing Reality

Hope Pendleton, local professional, will be offering a support group for Knox students who identify as African-American. This a safe, confidential space to discuss real situations that affect the lives of African-American college students. This group strives to address how cultural and racial identity influences all areas of our lives. Group will be held biweekly on Wednesdays at 6pm, starting January 20th. Stress and Anxiety Reduction (Two Groups Offered)

Janell McGruder, LPC, will again be offering the Stress and Anxiety Reduction group. This group will focus on learning techniques to handle stress and anxiety. It will be a four week group that meets weekly.

First Group begins Wednesday, January 20th at 4pm.

Second Group begins Tuesday, February 16th at 4pm.

Survivors of Sexual Assault

Once again, the Western Illinois Regional Council will be offering a safe, confidential group for survivors of sexual assault. Group will be held biweekly on Thursdays at 6pm, starting January 21st. If you are interested in participating, please contact Carol Smith at Carol@wirpc.org or call 309.837.6622 for screening.
