Inspiring Tomorrow's Innovators, Today!
January 3, 2021
Notes from our Director
Hello DATA community,
Happy New Year! Tomorrow, January 4, our first day back from the holiday break, begins our second semester and we will be on an early release bell schedule, click here for the bell schedule. This is just for that first day back for 2nd semester. Students should check their Skyward account for their second semester schedule to be sure there are no changes from their first semester schedules. Students, please reach out to your teachers if you have questions about logging into your classes virtually. For all students coming to campus for in-person learning, please remember to wear your masks.
Teachers have until Tuesday, January 5, at 4:30pm to enter final grades for first semester into Skyward. Beginning Tuesday, we will also be back to the same bell schedule that we followed all of first semester.
I trust you have seen the emails sent from Mr. Norwood regarding the Focused Support Time Initiative for this upcoming second semester at Roosevelt. Here is the link the the letter regarding this information. Specifically, "we have determined that our in-person students would be best served by being engaged in “Focused Support Time” every day from 3:25 PM until 4:10 PM. This would mean that all in-person students, to include parent pick-up and students who walk home, would be required to stay on campus in their “Focused Support Time” classroom until they are dismissed at 4:10 PM." DATA students will also have opportunity to participate in some community service during this focused support time if they are passing all of their classes.
Thank you for reviewing the many details included below. Please continue to stay safe. If you have specific questions, please feel free to reach out. Looking forward to a fantastic 2021.
Stay well,
Lori Murach
