Teachers: What services can the media center offer you?
As a certified teacher, Lael DuBois can:
- Compile information from websites, research databases, and e-books for your class assignments
- Instruction on Office 365 for students or teachers
- Talk about books with your students
- Develop collaborative units with teachers to integrate technology into lessons
- Co-Teach a lesson/unit
- Assist with research
- Teach web programs and tools to you or your students
- Order videos, books or other materials
- Design tutorials and lessons
- Professional Development
- Help in any other way
Sending Students to Media Center (also includes tech help)
- Write each student a pass to the media center (use yellow pass)
- Student will then sign in at the media center circulation desk
- Student will checkout books, print, meet with tech expert students, etc.
- When finished, student will sign out at the media center circulation desk and get his/her pass stamped with date and time.

Students and teachers can access ebooks through the PHS library catalog.
Computer/Laptop E-reading Instructions:
Online
- Go to https://pcsc.follettdestiny.com/
- Click on Plainfield High School
- Student Login with your username (same login as tablet) and password (student ID #). Teacher login is with your username and password.
- Click on Follett Shelf
- To check out a book, click on the "i" in the bottom corner and click check out
- Click on Open Book to read
Books are returned automatically after 3 weeks.
Smartphone / iPad / Tablet E-reading Instructions
Download the App
- Download the Follett BryteWave K-12 App from the App Store or from Google Play
- Launch the App and login with your username (same login as tablet) and your password (student ID #). Teacher login is with your username and password.
- Enter Plainfield High School as your school - make sure it is the Indiana one!
- Click Stay Logged In if you are on a private device and click Log In
- Tap the Follett Shelf icon and search for the eBook you want to read
- To check out a book, clock on the "i" in the bottom corner and click check out
- Click on Open Book to read
Books are returned automatically after 3 weeks.

2015 YALSA Teens' Top Ten
The results are in! YALSA has announced the official titles of the 2015 Teens’ Top Ten list. Teens all over the world voted starting August 15 with voting lasting through Teen Read Week™ (October 18-24, 2015). Altogether, over 27,000 votes were cast for the 24 nominees.
