Baseball Has Strong Start To Season In Troy Tournament

The varsity baseball program got off to a quick start over the weekend in the Troy Tournament. The Vikings turned in back to back shutouts to start the tournament and dropped their third game of the tournament in 9 innings. Baseball is back in action on Tuesday at home as they take on Summit.

Scholar Bowl Wins Orchard Farm Tournament

Congratulations to the Howell Scholar Bowl team on winning the Orchard Farm Tournament. The Vikings finished the day going 11-1. Scholar Bowl is having success in league play as well where they currently hold a 12-0 record. In league play Ganon Evans leads the league with an over 140 points per game average. Good luck to Scholar Bowl as they prepare to defend their back to back District Championships.

FCCLA Qualifies Five Students For Nationals

This past week FCCLA qualified two teams for Nationals. The two teams that scored Gold, will represent Howell and Missouri at the FCCLA Nationals. Howell FCCLA also had three teams earn Silver at the State competition as well. Below you can find our State Qualifiers as well as our Silver Teams. Girls Lacrosse Takes 2nd Place In Parkway Central Tournament

Congratulations to Girls Lacrosse for taking second place at the Parkway Central Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Vikings earned wins over Parkway Central and FHC. In the championship game they fell to Northwest. Girls Lacrosse is 2-1 on the young season.

Tionne Taylor Named To Class 5 All-State Basketball Team

Congratulations to Howell senior Girls Basketball player Tionne Taylor on being named to the Class 5 All-State Basketball team. This season Tionne averaged over 17 points per game and helped lead the Lady Vikings to conference and district championships. Tionne will be furthering her education and basketball career next year at McKendree University.

Howell Track Program Continues To Develop D1 Student-Athletes

On Saturday Howell senior Kalescia Thomas made a commitment to further her education and track career at the University of Missouri. Kalescia joins Erin Gilbert as the second 2018 senior to commit to an NCAA D1 school and the seventh in the past four years in the Howell Track program.

DECA Advances 10 To Nationals

Students of the Francis Howell High School Chapter of Missouri DECA: An Association of Marketing Students joined a record number of 1,900 high school marketing students at the annual state career development conference held March 11-13, 2018 at Crown Center KC, Missouri.

These 10 students will advance to international level competition at the International DECA Career Development Conference that will be held April 20-25 Atlanta, Georgia.

Students receiving recognition of individual ability and achievement at the state level were:

Jess Fisher & Sammie Markus - Financial Service Team Decision Making - 1st

Four Howell Cheerleaders Earn MCCA All-Academic Award

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Nolan, Kallista Tamme, Brianna Campbell & Hannah Hulen for earning the Missouri Cheer Coaches Association - All Academic Award. The MCCA All-Academic Award is given to those with a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA, rank in the top 10% of their class and have a 25 or higher on their ACT. Congratulations to these ladies for their work in the classroom and within the cheer program.

STUCO & Make-A-Wish Club Raise Over $750 During "Wish Wars"

Thank you to all Vikings for helping to raise $752.38 during Wish Wars! Congratulations to the seniors for winning the Wish Wars by donating $304.30. The seniors will now receive donuts on 3/22 for winning the Wish Wars.
