"Love First, Last, & Always"
Have you fallen away from the church? Has your focus been self-serving rather than serving of God? In the Gospel this past Sunday, we hear how Jesus continually seeks out the lost and invites them back.
Jesus tells a story of a wealthy tax collector named Zaccheus. There was a crowd, so Zaccheus climbed a tall tree so that he could see Jesus. When Jesus noticed him, he called Zaccheus down and told Zaccheus he wanted to come to his house. This surprised the crowd, because Zaccheus was known to be dishonest and greedy. When Jesus arrived at Zaccheus’ house, Zaccheus knew he had done wrong and confessed his sins. Jesus granted him grace and forgiveness.
No matter how far we stray from Jesus, he always welcomes us back. He looks past our mistakes and sees us as the amazing masterpiece that we were created to be. Be like Zaccheus. Respond to Jesus’ call. You won’t be disappointed.

After fall break you can be expecting a letter to come home about our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Christmas Baskets. Your teachers have selected the theme for your class and we have been busy behind the scenes preparing already.

We Remember We Celebrate We Believe
During the month of November, we honour the victims of Holodomor. Holodomor refers to the starvation of millions of Ukrainians in 1932-1933 as a result of Stalin’s policies. During this horrific time, about 7 million Ukrainian people died and 30% of them were children. In 1932, all food was taken from Ukraine and its borders were sealed. Religious, artistic, intellectual, and political leaders were arrested, deported or executed.
May the victims of Holodomor live forever in our memory, so their tragedy may never be repeated. As we honor the millions of Ukrainians who died during that time we offer our prayers to you, dear Lord.
Join us on Tues. Nov. 19 at 8:50 for our school assembly hosted by the Ukrainian team to learn more about Holodomor.
