Panther Post
August 29 - September 3, 2016
Hello Lopez Families,
We had a wonderful first week and now we are ready to roll. From now on, the weekly email out will be through the Panther Post. Sometimes I will need to send emails out separately, but I try not to flood you with too many of those. I do encourage you to scroll through the whole post each week to see important information regarding a range of topics. We are almost at full steam. There are just a few things to clean-up to make everything go smoothly.
One important reminder is where students wait in the morning prior to school starting. 6th graders should go to the 6th Grade Concourse - this is the court area that's located to the right of the gyms as you pull up in the student drop-off lane. 7th and 8th graders are to go to the Main Concourse - this is the court area located to the left of the gyms.
Students who need to enter the building early will need a pass to do so. Either a paper or electronic pass will work. They can simply show the monitor at the door their email on their cell phone that is inviting them for a meeting or tutoring.
Now on to how you can help in the parent drop-off/pickup line. We should be able to get about 12 cars at a time dropping off kids if everyone pulls as far forward as they can. If your car is stopped and you can't move forward, and you are up to where I stand in the morning, you can let them out. You do not need to wait until you are all the way up.
As for the parking spaces, they are only to be used if the parent is going to get out of the car and walk to go inside or to walk the student to the car. We do not have the personnel to monitor that safely if the students are running through the parking lot to the cars. Thank you for your understanding.
On a final note, I've included a copy of our 2016-17 Dress Code Brochure - which includes our cell phone policy as well. We'll remind students about dress code and cell phone usage, but I think it's important for parents to have this for reference.
Have a great weekend!

Reagan Dance Clinic
The Reagan Dance Department invites you to attend their 2016 Dance Clinic - Dancing Through Wonderland!
School is back in session, which means the annual Reagan High School Dance Clinic is right around the corner! Student attendees from last year would like to give your child the first opportunity to sign-up for this year's clinic. The Reagan High School Dancers are super excited and busy preparing for this year's theme, Dancing Through Wonderland!
This program, lead by the award winning Diamond Dancers dance team and Silver Stars drill team, gives those who attend the opportunity to learn new dance skills and show off their talents at a Reagan High School football game later that day. The clinic this year will be held on Saturday, October 8th.
Please see the flyer and registration form for more information. Forms and payment can be mailed to the address provided on the registration, or, new this year, you can register and pay online. Online registration can be done by submitting the form as an online only alternative to the flyer provided. This method of registration is not complete until the online form is submitted with a PayPal payment transaction. Any questions can be directed to ronaldreagandance@gmail.com.
Your Reagan Diamond Dancers and Silver Stars Drill Teams look forward to seeing everyone as we dance through Wonderland!
